ReplyDeleteI run 7 rods in my FEs the first motor was 35 stroke which comes up to 21 ratio My second motor is stock 427 stroke 378 with comes to 1851 I consider the long rod to work excellent in the FE engine although you will get various opinions My engines made good power and torque and run very well at the drag strip
ReplyDeleteThe Crower forged rods are actually the best Americanmade value at 6700 and 6800 lengths The other alternative is a 378 or 398 RPM 4340 forged crank but it is not forged here Durability in boosted applications is much better with the smaller wider journal as opposed to the OEM FE rod If I was staying FE size I would use the billet
